Ask a question about Toffee before you buy. We answer within a business day.

The peach ground and the darker freckling both intensify. A young copper is a preview of the adult, not a match for it.

Toffee is an axanthic copper axolotl with clean, even colouring and no marking on the tail fin. A paler animal than most of the copper group, closer to milky tan, with the freckling restricted to a light dusting behind the eyes. The tail fin is unusually clear, which gives the whole animal a tidier outline in the water.

A quiet one. Happy to sit out in the open rather than hiding, which makes for a good display animal. Takes food from tongs and off the substrate equally happily, which makes it easy to feed however you prefer to do it.

We list singly and we sell singly, so Toffee either goes to you or to somebody else. Sent to Sydney it arrives overnight, in an insulated box with a cool pack. Weighing up morphs? Axolotl prices in Australia sets out what each one costs.

Questions about Toffee

How much is Toffee?

Toffee is $100 AUD, and that price is for this animal alone, a 10 cm axanthic copper. Around this size the feeding response is reliable, which is the thing that makes an animal easy to keep.

Can Toffee be delivered to Brisbane?

Yes. Sent to Brisbane it arrives in one to two business days, dispatched Monday to Wednesday only. Worth knowing before you order: Brisbane humidity and warm nights make a chiller or a cool room the first thing to sort out.

Is Toffee a good first axolotl?

Yes. For a first animal we would rather you took this than a pale morph. Copper is the morph that looks better at twelve months than at four, and it feeds itself while it gets there.
