Flare is a GFP copper axolotl with unusually bright fluorescence for the morph. A warm copper body with fine speckling, and one of the stronger green responses under a blue light of any animal in this clutch. The gills glow first and hardest, which makes for a genuinely striking display in a dim room.

A big appetite and quick growth. Size the tank for what this one will become rather than what it is now. Feeding on soft sinking pellets and chopped earthworm without any coaxing. Every animal here is eating independently before it is listed.

How big will Flare get?

Flare is 10 cm now and should finish between 18 and 25 cm. Ten centimetres is the point where an axolotl stops being fragile and starts being straightforward.

Can Flare live with another axolotl?

Not yet. At 10 cm Flare would come off worse against anything larger, and axolotls nip gills and limbs when mismatched.

Is Flare still available?

Flare is available as of today. The glow needs a blue or violet torch. Under room light Flare looks like any other copper.
