GFP was introduced to the species decades ago as a research marker and has been bred on ever since. It is heritable and it is benign.

Frost is a lightly speckled GFP leucistic axolotl with very pale colouring and deep red gills. Almost white through the body with a fine dusting of speckles across the top of the head, and the strong fluorescent response that leucistic GFP animals are known for. The contrast between the pale body and the dark eyes is what gives the morph its striking look.

Calm and easy going, and one of the most photogenic animals we have listed. On soft sinking salmon pellets with chopped earthworm two or three times a week. Feeding is confirmed on the morning of dispatch.
